Did you know that if you were born on or after 1^st September 1996 then you will be expected to stay in learning until the end of the academic year in which you turn 17?  This is referred to as ‘Raising the Participation Age’.   It will increase again (in September 2015) when all young people will stay in learning until their 18^th birthday or achieve a level 3 qualification, such as 2 A-levels, or similar.
