Training Opportunities

Accredited interview training.  Get trained so you can interview staff applying for jobs at Connexions and receive a nationally recognised qualification!

We believe that anyone who potentially could work with young people should be interviewed by young people.  This is where you come in.  You can be trained to sit on an interview panel, watch presentations given by candidates and interview them with questions of your choice.  This is your chance to hear why the candidates think they would work well with young people.  

On the day when you are interviewing candidates you will be given support by a member of staff from Connexions. 

You can gain great skills from this process as it gives you interview training, ready for when you apply for a job or Apprenticeship or going to college or university, which includes:

• Mock interviews
• Person specifications and job descriptions
• Types of questions
• How to write interview questions
• Body language
• Legal framework (eg equal opportunities)  

The training is accredited Level 1 through OCN (Open College Network). 

If you are part of an existing group we can come to you and deliver the training for your group.
