Celebs offer advice

The subjects and qualifications you study during years 9, 10 and 11 will affect how you spend the rest of your time at school.  It could also help set you up for the career or course you want to do later on.

There are some subjects so important that everyone has to take them, but you'll still have lots of options.  Remember it isn't just about GCSEs as courses are taught in different ways, and it may be that one type suits you more than others.

Your Connexions Personal Adviser is available to support you as you make your decisions.  Depending on what’s available at your school, you may also be able to do work-related courses, functional skills courses like English and maths or a personalised learning programme.
